Bring your family along to the Bahamas,
a country for the kids

By Benjamin Gunst

One of the key reasons to relocate to The Bahamas is the kids. This is a kid-friendly country where they can have fun and grow up in an environment that better connects them with nature. There is no need to go to the Zoo or the Aquarium again to watch Iguanas, Flamingos, Parrots or Sting Rays because here you can encounter them freely almost every day.

The weather doesn't vary very much throughout the year so that schools won't be closed because of the snow and winter clothes will be something for use only on a trip. I also have discovered that kids value with greater determination the individual aspects of the four seasons when they don't experience it the whole year.

Kids will also grow up watching fantastic sunsets that have no comparison to any other part of the world.

Children’s entertainment: Children won't get bored here. Being an archipelago country consisting of 700 islands and 2400 cays, The Bahamas has more than 2,000 beaches to visit at least once in their lifetime. Because anyone can get bored going to the beach every weekend, there are plenty of entertainment activities. Acquaventure Waterpark, The Pirates Museum, The Wildlife Conservation Centre, Fort Montagu, and the Kids-only clubs are among the best plans for children away from the sea.

Education in The Bahamas: International schools are the best option for international students since they offer a smooth transition between the local system in your country and their new reality. Schools in the Bahamas offer British, American, and Canadian curricula to adapt the children according to their background or parents' needs.

Schools' primary language is English, and their qualified teachers are from the UK, USA, Canada and The Bahamas. Schools often offer the International Baccalaureate accreditation recognized in more than 75 countries.

The music and the rhythm: Caribbean rhythms are so rich in melodies that any kid growing up in The Bahamas will fall in love with them. They will also learn about instruments such as the conga, steel drums, pleneras and timbales while listening to various genres such as soca, calypso, merengue and more.

Fresh food: Fish are often the catch of the day, and the local fruits and vegetables are tastier than anywhere else. They will fall in love with the flavours.
